My Top 3 Eyeshadow Palettes For Autumn

Hey guys!

Autumn is around halfway complete so I’ve decided now is a good time to post my top 3 eyeshadow palettes for autumn.

Now I’m basing my label of ‘Autumn Eyeshadow’ off the basis that autumn usually is the season for warm tone colours like reds and oranges so that’s why these three palettes have made the list. They are great palettes for their warm tone colours but they are not exclusively warm tone palettes.

This list has both high end and drugstore palettes so if you’re looking for a cheap or expensive palette, there is options for both. I always try and offer cheap and more expensive products when recommending a type of item because everyone has different budgets and I know that nothing frustrates me more than when someone only recommends high end products because I cannot afford it!

The three palettes I focus on are the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette, Makeup Revolution x sophdoesnails Palette and the Makeup Revolution Neutrals vs New-Trals palette. This post won’t be full reviews of each because 2 of the three palettes already have full reviews and first impressions so I don’t want to bore you! When I get to those palettes, I’ll link the full review but will write a few words about each.

I use all three of these palettes religiously and they are palettes that I think most people have one or all of them. They are some the the brands best sellers and there’s clearly a reason why. All three are superb palettes with good colour payoff, good colour stories and they blend well.

Out of these, my favourite is probably the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette, then the Makeup Revolution x sophdoesnails palette and then Neutrals vs New-Trals. I do feel the Morphe palette trumps all of the palettes I own because the colour payoff is unlike anything I’ve ever used before.

But I’m going to stop rambling and get onto these palettes!

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette

As I said, this is my current all-time favourite palette. The warm tones in this palette are so pretty and for me, the palette is a warm tone palette with a few other colours popped in for variety. Jaclyn’s channel is basically all warm toned looks so really, I expected this.

At first glance, it looks a lot of the same colours but when swatched, every similar colour has a different undertone to the one previous. No two colours are truly the same in this palette- if they are, ones a matte and ones a metallic.

These shadows have helped me create many autumnal looks since getting it and every time I get superb colours and really easy blending.

The golds and metallic reds are my favourites in this palette with the duochrome pink coming up as a close to favourite. I can’t really say I have one favourite shade in this palette though. Each and every one is beautiful in it’s own right.

Until I got my Morphe x Jaclyn palette, this was my favourite palette. It’s definitely the best that Makeup Revolution has made (that I own) because the colours are so buttery and pigmented when swatched and when applied to the eye.

Like the Jaclyn Palette, this isn’t a dedicated warm toned palette and there’s a mixture of different colours but there are quite a few warm tones in this palette that have created really beautiful autumn looks for me.

The three metallic golds are to die for and really add a pop to warm, fiery looks as you can see in my Bonfire Night tutorial on YouTube.

For me, I also see purples as autumnal shades and the purple metallic in this palette is to die for. Seriously. It is utterly beautiful and I haven’t used it anywhere near as much as I should. Since getting my Jaclyn Palette, this has been a bit neglected and that definitely needs to change!

Makeup Revolution Neutrals vs New-Trals Palette

I bought this palette before the other two after months of drooling over it on social media. I loved it and how all the colours fit together and create so many unique looks. It was everything I hoped it would be and more.

It is mainly a pink toned palette rather than red but as I mentioned, I do count pinks and purples as autumnal colours. If you want a dupe for the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette, then this is a good one to go with.

The metallic payoff isn’t as great in this palette but that doesn’t take away from the fact the other colours are highly pigmented and super easy to blend.

For me, this is a must have palette whether you’re a beginner or pro makeup artist. Some of the colours are ones that I only have in this palette despite having many palettes in my makeup collection.

So those are my top 3 palettes for autumnal looks. I have mainly used these palettes and these palettes only this autumn purely because they hold all the colours I need for my autumn looks.
